Exploring with Josh
This week, I want to give a shout out to a YouTuber whose videos I’ve been obsessed with for about a month now: Exploring with Josh [x]. Josh is an urban explorer, meaning he finds abandoned locations and explores them. While this is a growing trend in the YouTube community, Josh is unique because he doesn’t tell his audience the location of the places he visits.
He does so because there are a lot of people out there who don’t respect these buildings, leaving them vandalized. Exploring with Josh aims to show the locations for what the used to be and what they’ve become due to natural decomposition–whether it’s an abandoned nightclub or the homes of those affected by the 2011 Japanese Tsunami. Josh does a great job showing the world these forgotten structures in a respectful and visually stunning way. So, if you’re interested in urban exploration, I highly recommend this channel.
